Springtime Resolute

Where have the last few months gone? It’s nearly April and I could swear the Christmas holidays were just a couple of weeks ago….

I like getting cosy in winter – getting my candles on and the fire burning, but I admit I’m not a fan of the shorter days and darkness.

But finally blossoms are starting to come out on the trees, the road verges are awash with beautiful yellow daffodils and the lambs are out in the fields – super small and super cute.

I love the first signs of spring – the moments when the clouds finally part and the ever present grey is (temporarily) replaced by blue sky and the warmth of the sun. How our moods change and how we smile more. How nice it is to see people out and about enjoying the fresh air.

So time to get planning! How to make the most of these lighter days, how to engage with the outdoors more fully…. How to make the most of it!

So as I come out of hibernation , it’s time to set some ‘Springtime Resolutions’ (I always fail with New Year’s Resolutions – or if I start them, I manage about 7 days of sticking to them)

Resolution 1 – Get outdoors more

I am going to aim to walk mindfully every day – even if it’s just of 15 minutes. Being outdoors always makes me feel so much better

Resolution 2 – Eat the rainbow

My winter comfort food I’m afraid this year has been undeniably beige

Resolution 3 – Pay attention to  mind and body

Build strength, resilience & flexibility

Resolution 4 – Find opportunities for stillness

Mindfulness Practice

Reading

Sleep

Resolution 5 - Family and Friends

Get those important social dates in the calendar before everyone and everything is booked up!

Watch this space. I'll let you know how it goes !
