As a teacher, I often describe the start of term as the moment when you take a large intake of breath and dive down. Dive down into deep water and swim frantically against the current only to re-emerge 7 weeks later to ‘come up for air’ .
My job is all consuming - but I love it. Every day is different and ‘full’
The last term of this academic year was more ‘full’ than ever - ram jam packed to the brim. And I fell off the wagon……. let my formal Mindfulness Practice completely slip away because life was just too busy.
I could easily have beaten myself up over my apparent ‘failings’ , but actually, if I have learnt anything from my Mindfulness study and practice, it’s that non judgement and self kindness are at the core - at it’s heart ❤️
So now I have time to breathe. To reconnect with my formal mindfulness practice and find better balance.
I’ll be offering opportunities for us to practice together over the coming weeks - I hope you’ll be able to join me
